Ever heard of the greatest contemporary art interpreter, also known as the master of Pop Art? His influence in art is still evident in many forms of artistic expression: from painting to advertising, from photography to design and fashion. His name? Roy Lichtenstein.
So when Moco Museum asked Wolfstreet to come up with a creative concept, to promote the new ‘Roy Lichtenstein’ exhibition, there was not a second of doubt. Imagine that Roy Lichtenstein’s characters really came to life in Amsterdam. What would they do, and where would they go? This train of thought inspired us to create a series of short clips, following to Lichtenstein Girls in Amsterdam. Director Levi Verspeek shot the project on 16mm film to create a nostalgic dream-like look.
