The videos are deliberately shot completely out of focus to simulate the experience of people with visual impairments, in order not to reveal everything about the city. In the voice-over, three voices guide us through Vilnius. These three voices belong to Vilnius residents: Alvydas (blind, 60 years old), Ramunė (visually impaired, 43 years old), and Irma (blind, 32 years old).
In addition to the campaign film, three separate portraits were created. The campaign is being launched in England and Germany, and the videos are equipped with audio descriptions to make them accessible to the blind and visually impaired.
During the campaign, a walking route called ‘Touch and Hear Vilnius’ was introduced, specifically designed for blind and visually impaired individuals. The audio guide not only narrates the city’s history but also provides detailed descriptions of the attractions, along with navigation instructions on how to locate them.
