Wanted: VFX Artist

Wolfstreet is an Amsterdam-based creative and production agency specializing in visual content. We develop powerful campaigns and content for brands and agencies by combining our in-house capabilities: creative development and (post) production. We work for innovative brands: Takeaway.com, Vinted, Adyen, The Vegetarian Butcher, Picnic, and Mastercard.
We’re looking for a talented VFX Artist (2D / 3D) to join our post-production team. You are skilled in 2D compositing and experienced in 3D across styles and tools, with strong skills in After Effects and solid experience in Blender, Cinema 4D and/or Houdini. Whether you work solo or alongside other artists and creatives, you know how to concept, comp, and finish across disciplines. AI-powered tools are part of your workflow, and we’re looking for someone who’s confident using them and eager to explore their potential within VFX pipelines.
As a VFX Artist at Wolfstreet, you’ll be the bridge between creative concepting and post-production craft. You ensure that visual ideas are executed with technical precision and creative flair. You will collaborate with editors, motion designers, and creatives to find smart and elegant VFX solutions that enhance our storytelling, while also having the independence to take ownership of your own projects. Whether it’s a subtle beauty pass or a bold visual sequence, you understand the impact of well-executed VFX within a campaign-driven environment.
You’ll be responsible for crafting seamless compositions, integrating CG elements, set extensions, AI and environmental effects, as well as creating motion graphics where needed – all to enhance the visual storytelling of our films and campaigns. From retouching and clean-up to stylized 3D elements, you take ownership from the first frame to final delivery.
We’re not counting years if your portfolio speaks volumes. But generally for the level required you need at least 5 years of experience.
- Execute high-quality 2D compositing, retouching, and finishing across a variety of projects.
- Build and integrate 3D elements using Blender, Cinema 4D, or Houdini, aligned with project scope and deadlines.
- You understand how to matchmove, track, light, texture and render assets so they blend seamlessly into live-action footage.
- Explore and implement AI-driven tools to enhance VFX workflows – from prompt-based asset generation to cleanup, rotoscoping, and look development.
- Collaborate with editors, motion designers, creatives, and producers to align on visual direction and technical approach.
- Translate creative concepts into clear VFX solutions, balancing quality with efficiency.
- Develop and maintain clean, scalable project setups for collaboration.
- Experiment with emerging AI features and help prototype new tools and techniques to push our visual storytelling forward.
- Build custom (AI-assisted) solutions where relevant, integrating them seamlessly into the pipeline to speed up production without compromising quality.
- You have a strong portfolio showcasing creative 2D & 3D compositing work across a range of styles and formats but mainly for commercial purposes.
- You’re technically skilled (and like the technical side of VFX), detail-oriented, and proficient in After Effects, with solid experience using Blender, Cinema 4D and/or Houdini.
- You understand the ins and outs of VFX pipelines, including clean-up, rotoscoping, tracking, screen inserts, and versioning.
- You work in a structured and organized way, with clean project setups, logical folder structures, and consistent naming conventions. Within a team, you’re proactive and communicate clearly to keep things running smoothly.
- You’re already experienced in using AI in your workflows – from rotoscoping automation to image generation – and you approach new technologies with a practical, hands-on mindset.
- You’re comfortable working with different AI models, experimenting with new workflows, and building on existing tools to boost both efficiency and creative output.
- Fluency in English is required; Dutch is a plus.
- We do not offer relocation assistance; you need to be based in the Netherlands.
- A dynamic and supportive work environment where achievements are recognized and celebrated
- The chance to work on cutting-edge projects and campaigns
- Independence and ownership in your role
- Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications
- A pension retirement savings plan
- Annual training and development budget
- Additional employee benefits
- The opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing company
- A diverse team of international colleagues
- A central office location close to Amsterdam Central Station
- Fun and engaging team building activities and events
- Amazing coworkers and unforgettable Friday afternoon drinks
