STËLZ is the biggest hard seltzer brand in the Netherlands, with a range of flavours that keeps getting bolder and stranger. So when a brand new mystery flavour was ready to launch, putting one more can on the shelf was never going to cut it.

STËLZ wanted to hand the decision to the people who built the brand. Battle of Flavours turned its community into co-creators: an interactive flavour fight in which the audience, not the boardroom, decides what ends up in the can.

Supermodel Romee Strijd hosts, in a world where just about anything could be a flavour.

A flavour fight, decided by the people drinking it

Influencers Monica Geuze, Edson Graca and Vegilaine each brought their own flavour to the fight, with a surprise cameo from Dries Roelvink, a Dutch folk singer who, fittingly, has his own line of meatballs in the supermarket.

Hybrid production made that imagined world possible. Real sets and real colour explosions were captured in camera, then extended and multiplied in post, so every flavour got its own universe without a separate shoot for each one.

For weeks the battle took over social. Romee and the cast fed the audience new content, challenges, clues and updates as it unfolded, every format pushing the story forward and giving people another reason to pick a side. A flavour launch became a cultural guessing game, with the final say quite literally in the hands of the people drinking it.
